“Jubilee-Elim Asia Vision Trip 2026” Concludes Successfully

The “Jubilee-Elim Asia Vision Trip 2026,” held over two days starting July 10 at Immanuel Church in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, concluded successfully on July 12 with a closing service—which doubled as a Sunday service—during which participants offered thanks and glory to God.

This event, co-hosted by the Olivet Assembly (OA) of Malaysia in partnership with Jubilee World and Elim Center Asia-Pacific (AP), was a great success, with leaders and members from five countries—South Korea, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Malaysia—participating.

At the closing service, presided over by Pastor Josua Tampubolon, representative of Jubilee World Indonesia, Leader Dorcas from the Kuala Lumpur Immanuel Church, offered a Intercessory prayer, and Pastor Maryon Kim, representative of TM Malaysia, offered the offering prayer. In particular, the Special Song sung with one heart by attendees from five countries was offered to God as a fragrant sacrifice.

Pastor Samuel Chang, representative of OA Malaysia, delivered a sermon titled “Feed My Lambs, for That Is Your Love for Me,” based on John 21.

Addressing participants who had gathered for the first time in eight years, Pastor Chang reminded the congregation that the ultimate purpose of all ministry is mission, urging them to bear abundant fruit upon returning to their home regions.

Pastor Chang explored the post-resurrection appearance of Jesus at the Sea of Galilee, noting that the Gospel narrative uses vivid, pictorial language accessible to all, from children to scholars. He drew a parallel between the disciples’ initial failure to recognize Jesus and the confusion believers often feel when living between the “already” and “not yet” of God’s Kingdom. Like the disciples, he argued, the church must look to the Lord’s instructions to find the way forward.

A significant portion of the sermon focused on the “153 fish” caught by the disciples. Rather than an unsolved riddle, Chang suggested this number signifies “all peoples and nations.” He explained that the net is the Word of God, and the miraculous catch represents the global harvest of souls. Just as the net did not tear despite the massive haul, the Gospel is a powerful, unified message capable of saving all ethnic groups and tribes across the world.

The sermon highlighted the difference between the disciples’ labor and the Lord’s provision. While the disciples worked hard to haul the net, they found that Jesus had already prepared a charcoal fire, fish, and bread on the shore. Chang emphasized that while we are called to cast the net in obedience, it is the Lord who sustains the church through His grace and the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper, reminding believers of His sacrifice and shed blood.
