On September 27, Kuala Lumpur Immanuel Church held a dedication service for the Kampar Immanuel Church, the first church established under the Immanuel Church Network (ICN).

The service was presided over by Leader Dorcas, with Pastor Maryon leading the intercessory prayer. During the prayer, Pastor Maryon prayed that the congregation would follow the paradoxical teaching of Jesus in John 12:24: “Unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed; but if it dies, it produces many seeds.” She prayed that the church would be willing to die to itself so that the life of Christ might bear much fruit through its ministry.

Pastor Samuel Chang, Senior Pastor of Kuala Lumpur Immanuel Church, delivered the dedication message from 2 Corinthians 4:10.

In his message, Pastor Samuel shared that the reason for establishing a church in Kampar came from the prompting of the Holy Spirit that this city needs the gospel. He also reflected on Leader Dorcas’s healing in Kampar, emphasizing that it was not merely a coincidence but part of God’s providence. He connected the establishment of the church to the cross of Christ, highlighting the Moravian tradition of keeping “the Lamb who was slain” continually before them as a reminder of the centrality of Christ and His sacrifice.
