On 25th December, the Christmas Day, Kuala Lumpur Immanuel Church held a special service to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Pastor James delivered the sermon, titled “Jesus Born in a Manger,” drawing from the Gospel of Luke 2:1-21.
He utilized the classic “4W” questions – Who is Jesus? What is His mission? When did He come? Where did He come from? – to encourage the congregation to delve deeper into the details of Jesus’ birth and understand His significance in their lives.
The sermon then guided the congregation through several key biblical passages:
Daniel 7:13-14 and Micah 5:2: Highlighting prophecies about the coming of the Messiah.
Philippians 2:5-8: Underscoring Jesus’ humility and self-sacrifice in serving humanity.
Revelation 20:6: Revealing Jesus’ ultimate mission: to establish the Kingdom of God.
Pastor James concluded by urging the congregation to live according to Jesus’ teachings, emphasizing that through their actions, they can contribute to building a world filled with love and compassion.
Church leaders also presented Christmas gifts to all attendees, including newcomers, and extended an invitation to join the upcoming New Year’s Eve service.
