On 22nd December 2024, Kuala Lumpur Immanuel Church recently concluded the 3 days 2 nights successful Christmas retreat at Ocean View Resort in Negeri Sembilan. The retreat, filled with spiritual enrichment and fellowship, saw members delve into the true meaning of Christmas.
The first day commenced with an opening service led by Pastor Josephine. Her sermon, titled “Jesus in the Manger,” drawing from Luke 2:1-14, emphasized the profound significance of Jesus’ birth and His role as the Savior of all mankind.
The second day began with invigorating exercises led by Brother Paul, followed by an in-depth Bible study session. The session explored the “Four Spiritual Laws,” a foundational framework for understanding the Bible:
1.Creation of God – Preached by Pastor James
2.Fall of Man – Preached by Pastor Josephine
3.Salvation of Jesus Christ – Preached by Brother Paul
4.Kingdom of God – Preached by Missionary Sharon
Members engaged deeply with the teachings, demonstrating a strong desire to learn and grow spiritually. The day concluded with heartfelt sharing of grace and prayers for one another.
The final day featured a combined closing and Sunday service. Pastor James delivered the sermon, “New Wine into New Wineskins,” based on Matthew 9:16-17. He encouraged members to embrace their identity as followers of Jesus Christ, recognizing their responsibility to live a renewed life and contribute to building a world of love on earth.
The retreat provided a valuable opportunity for spiritual growth, fellowship, and renewed commitment to faith. The members of Kuala Lumpur Immanuel Church left the retreat feeling refreshed, inspired, and eager to apply the lessons learned in their daily lives.
